Program Outcomes for a Bachelor of Science Graduate: The
knowledge intensive and skill oriented curriculum of BSc programme with three
majors is designed and deployed in the CBCS pattern at SJCW(A) envisaging the
following outcomes

the necessary intellectual competencies to proceed to higher education and

of hard and soft tools, inquisitive experimentation and keen observation
leading to logical conclusions ignites scientific temper and results in problem
solving skills

Individual and group study projects and
assignments involving individual and team work encourage knowledge sharing
and communication

self learning tasks induce critical thinking and
lead to optimal utilisation and creation of e-learning resources on the net
·
mandatory general education courses comprising
values education, citizenship education, environmental education nurture ethical
behaviour, social and environmental consciousness and commitment to sustainable
development

leadership training, entrepreneurship
development courses etc. hone leadership skills and groom entrepreneurial
tendencies fostering future leaders and job providers

Selective involvement in life skills oriented
extra and co curricular components of the programme (like skill enhancement
courses, add on courses, NCC, NSS, Sports, yoga, self defence, music etc.)
improve the physical as well as psychological fitness of the learner and lead
to personal empowerment and responsible citizenship
